What is Zombie Survivor RPG??

Zombie Survivor RPG is a home-brew role playing game amalgamated from several games I have found on the internet.   Those games are listed on the Games page of this site.

I made Zombie Survivor when I was searching the web for a zombie themed RPG.   In my search I found many, but most were not anything that really caught my attention.   If they were actual published games from companies they had alot of them were pretty expensive to purchase or too complicated for no real reason.   If they were home-brew games that people put up online for others to play,  they were just too complicated with weird  game mechanics implemented into them which over shadows the fun of an RPG.

I was looking for an old fashioned dungeon crawler type RPG.   I wasn't looking for a game that is based on an economic system that is based in the apocalypse with zombies as more or a setting,  I wasn't looking to buy a 300 page book that I wasn't too interested in in the first place.

I came across a game called Six-Shooters & Wagons on DriveThru RPG which is a hack of Swords & Wizardry Light.   This became the base game for Zombie Survivor.  I found a couple other games that had some neat mechanics and information in them that I also used.  Whatever was not explained in any of these games I referred to the rules in Basic Fantasy to fill in the gaps.   I also came up with a few things in there the game as well just to try and mimic some tropes that are common in most zombie movies and tv shows, like the Zombie Stomp rule.
