Games

Here are the links for the games that I found on the web and used to create this game.   I urge you all to go out and get these games and add them to your own collections!

Six-Shooters & Wagons

This is the game that I mainly took inspiration from when creating the game.   Its a rules light, Wild West themed hack of the Fantasy game Swords & Wizardy Light, which is a rules lite version of Swords & Wizardry.

Zombie Squad

Zombie Squad is a hack of Dungeon Squad,  a rules light Dungeons and Dragons type game.   I would have just played this game but,  it still didn't offer me the freedom and type of emerssive gaming experience I was looking for.

Zombie World

This is a hack of the game Apocalypse World.   It is a pretty emmersive game but still didn't offer what I was looking for but still it might be worth your time to try out.

Basic Fantasy

Last but certainly not least.   The Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game is a rules-light game system modeled on the classic RPG rules of the early 1980's.   It was written by Chris Gonnerman and has a huge community behind it on their forum page on their website as well as in their Facebook group.  I was originally just going to make a hack of this game but opted for a different approach.   But is still a huge inspiration and source of information for me in creating this game.

My Little Zombie Apocalypse Tabletop RPG

This was the other game that I stumbled across.  The thing that caught my eye was the success/failure chart.   It is so simple of a system to use for almost every action I couldn't wait to try and incorporate it into my game.  Want to jump from one roof top to another?  Roll a D20.  Want to jump up to a fire escape ladder above a garbage bin to get away from a horde of zombies? Roll a d20.  Want to jump down off a 1 story building and land on the ground unscathed?  Roll a D20.   Perfect and simple!

Fallout 2d20 Beta 5.0

I also used some of the weapons, armor and weight and carry rules from this playtest game for the Fallout 2d20 system.
